Traveling separately with parents reshapes my view of family dynamics

Traveling as an only child has shaped my relationship with my parents in unexpected ways. On separate trips, I ventured to Scotland with my dad and Curaçao with my mom. Each journey revealed different facets of their personalities and deepened my understanding of who they are outside of their roles as parents.

These trips came at a time when family dynamics are evolving. As I move into adulthood, I find myself craving quality time with my parents, not just as a family unit but as individuals.
