Alex Cooper, the host of the popular podcast โ€œCall Her Daddy,โ€ is reportedly in talks with Creative Artists Agency (CAA) after parting ways with United Talent Agency (UTA), according to Deadline Hollywood. The conversation began in early March, following Cooperโ€™s decision to end her longโ€‘running partnership with UTA amid disputes over her beverage brand and other business ventures.

Cooper first rose to fame in 2015 when she launched โ€œCall Her Daddyโ€ with girlfriend Sofia Franklyn. The show grew into one of the United Statesโ€™ mostโ€‘listened podcasts, amassing millions of downloads and spawning a successful Spotify partnership, a memoir, and a line of beverages called โ€œCall Her Drink.โ€ In late 2023, the drink line announced it would cease production, a move that coincided with Cooperโ€™s departure from UTA. Reports say the split stemmed from disagreements about how the agency was handling her brand deals and the broader direction of her personal brand.

The move to CAA is seen as a strategic shift. CAA has a robust roster of podcast talent and a history of negotiating highโ€‘profile brand partnerships. Industry observers note that the agencyโ€™s experience in multimedia rights could help Cooper expand beyond podcasting into television, film, and new product lines. Cooperโ€™s own spokesperson said she is excited about the potential for fresh collaborations, though no contract has been signed. The switch also highlights a growing trend of creators seeking representation that aligns more closely with their entrepreneurial ambitions.

If the talks materialise, Cooper could soon announce new projects, including a potential TV adaptation of her podcast and additional branded content. Fans and investors will be watching closely, as the move could signal a broader pivot for her brand strategy and the next phase of her media empire. The outcome will also inform how other podcasters negotiate agency deals in a rapidly evolving media landscape.
