Epithelial cells, which form protective linings for our bodies, have been found to exhibit synchronized pulsating behavior as they grow. Recent research suggests that malignant epithelial cells pulse longer than their healthy counterparts, indicating a potential marker for cancer progression.

Epithelial cells play a vital role in shaping the outer layers of the skin, organs, and blood vessels during embryonic development.
