Colman Domingo will host Kering’s fifth annual Caring for Women Dinner on September 10 at The Pool in New York City. The event will begin at 7 p.m. and feature a formal dinner followed by an after‑party where Paris Hilton will DJ. Domingo, known for his Oscar‑nominated acting and his work as a writer, director and producer, will also serve as co‑chair of next year’s Met Gala, which last year raised $11.5 million for the Costume Institute.

Kering, the luxury goods group that owns brands such as Gucci, Yves Saint Laurent and Balenciaga, has made philanthropy a core part of its corporate strategy. The Caring for Women Dinner supports the Kering Foundation’s Women’s Health and Education Fund, which provides grants for research, reproductive health services and educational programs for girls in underserved communities. The dinner is part of a broader effort by Kering to align its high‑profile events with social impact, especially as the fashion industry faces growing scrutiny over gender equity and sustainability. The event’s fifth year marks a milestone for the charity, which has raised more than $50 million since 2019.

Domingo’s role as emcee brings star power and a sense of gravitas to the evening. He will introduce keynote speakers, including a leading women's rights activist, and will highlight the auction of limited‑edition items from Kering’s portfolio. The auction is expected to raise an additional $2 million, boosting the total funds raised to $7 million for the year. Kering’s CEO, Jean‑Pierre Fialho, said the event “demonstrates how luxury can drive positive change for women worldwide.” The dinner will also feature a silent auction of designer jewelry and a live performance by a contemporary artist.

After the dinner, the event will transition to a celebratory after‑party at the same venue. Paris Hilton’s DJ set is expected to attract a younger crowd and increase media coverage. The evening will be streamed live on Kering’s social media channels, extending the reach of the fundraising message. Attendees include designers, philanthropists, and celebrities, many of whom will sign autographs for auction. The funds raised will support new research grants for women's health and expand educational scholarships for girls in developing regions. The event underscores how luxury brands can use their influence to support women’s causes while engaging their audiences in meaningful philanthropy.
