Fukada Koji, Jakrawal Nilthamrong, Boo Junfeng win Busan funding for films

The Busan International Film Festival’s Asian Cinema Fund (ACF) has awarded production funding to three international co-productions, supporting films from directors Fukada Koji, Jakrawal Nilthamrong, and Boo Junfeng with a total of KRW 140 million (approximately $100,000). The selected projects, titled “Grateful,” “Rhizome,” and “Trinity,” were chosen from 15 submissions and are set to receive financial backing for their development and production phases.

This funding initiative is significant as it highlights the ACF’s commitment to fostering collaboration among Asian filmmakers and enhancing the region's cinematic landscape.
