Gemini and Find Hub are teaming up to remember where you put your passport

Google’s Find Hub lets you find various types of connected devices, from smartphones to earbuds to dedicated item trackers, all from a single interface. Starting this month, you’ll also be able to use Find Hub to remember the location of non-connected devices.

As part of the September Android Drop announced today , Find Hub is rolling out an option that’ll let users make a note of any object’s location. These notes appear inside Find Hub, and you’ll also be able to ask Gemini where you told it your stuff is.

Gemini has been able to store and recall facts that you tell it for years now , but this is the first time that functionality has been applied in the context of cataloging item locations. In Find Hub, you’re also able to add photos to go along with your location notes, in case you think you’ll need that visual cue to locate your stuff later on.

Saved item locations are accessible in a new Remembered tab in the Find Hub app. It seems you don’t need to use Gemini for this — in the video above shared by Google, the Find Hub app appears to show a button to manually add location reminders for your stuff — but the option to quickly note where you’re leaving any given object with a voice command should be handy.

Google says this new option is coming soon on devices running Android 16 or newer in countries where both Gemini and Find Hub are available.
