Google’s Scam Detection feature may have arrived first on Pixel phones, but it has been slowly expanding to other Android manufacturers. It’s already available on the Galaxy S26 series , and we even spotted signs that it could be coming to vivo phones soon. Now, we’re seeing evidence that Scam Detection could be headed to yet another Android phone maker.

You’re reading an Authority Insights story. Authority Insights brings you all the latest exclusive reports, app teardowns, leaks, and in-depth tech coverage from the Android Authority team that you won’t find anywhere else.

While taking a look under the hood of the latest public beta of the Google Phone app (v237.0.973536915), we found evidence of Google’s Scam Detection feature coming to Xiaomi phones. The company’s name has also been added to the list of phone makers that support the feature.

It’s unclear which Xiaomi phones will support the feature at first. The Xiaomi 18 Fold , which recently debuted at IFA 2026, would be an ideal first candidate. However, since that phone is only confirmed to launch in China (at least for now), Scam Detection will likely arrive first on a globally available Xiaomi flagship.

Google’s Scam Detection feature works by analyzing phone calls using on-device AI. It can then, theoretically, warn you if it detects any shady business on the line. Though the feature is in beta and clearly not perfect , it could still prove helpful once Google has ironed out the kinks; hopefully, that will happen sooner rather than later.

We will keep an eye on the Google Phone app for signs of other Android phone makers joining the list, and we’ll update you with any new information as we come across it.
