Rockstar has confirmed exactly when you’ll be able to play Grand Theft Auto 6 when it launches on November 19.

Rather than a worldwide release time, Rockstar Games has confirmed via the PlayStation store that Grand Theft Auto 6 will be going live at midnight local time on November 19.

It means those living in New Zealand will be able to explore Leonida a full 19 hours before those in Central America and 11 hours before those of us living in the UK.

Some fans are planning on adjusting the settings on their Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 consoles to make it seem like they’re playing from a country that’s getting Grand Theft Auto 6 early – but there’s no guarantee that will work.

Earlier this year, boss of Grand Theft Auto 6 publishers Take Two said that he’s expecting fans to bunk off work to play the game on launch day .

Last month, Rockstar Games released an extended look at Grand Theft Auto 6 via Netflix before making the 26-minute trailer more widely available. The showcase racked up more than 31.1million views in its first few days on Netflix, and was the most-watched show on the streamer in 87 of the 93 countries that Netflix services . A further 20million people have watched on YouTube.

The trailer has given a huge boost in streaming numbers to some of the artists featured on the soundtrack but it has made getting a PS5 Pro virtually impossible after Sony confirmed that the game would be “enhanced” for the console. Earlier this year, Rockstar Games announced Grand Theft Auto 6 runs “best” on PlayStation .

In other news, London’s Southbank Centre has announced details of a ‘Korean Games In Concert’ orchestral gig , featuring the music of Lies Of P , Black Desert and more.
