HEALTH, Ice Nine Kills and Periphery members to soundtrack new game ‘Crimson Moon’

YouTuber Jared Dines is also involved in the power fantasy project

HEALTH and members of Ice Nine Kills and Periphery have contributed to the soundtrack for new role-playing game Crimson Moon .

Set to launch September 1, Crimson Moon is a “a gothic high renaissance action-adventure RPG built around intense, replayable missions” from indie studio ProbablyMonsters.

The game will be available on PC, Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 with players taking on the role of Nephilim, ruthless human-angel hybrids forged to defend humanity, before being immersed in “a blood-soaked power fantasy.”

“Battle your way through the besieged city of Gildenarch using combat that blends brutal precision with deep character progression,” reads an official description of Crimson Moon. “The game is built to scale, with solo slayers getting a satisfying single-player experience, while co-op turns every encounter into a shared onslaught of power and resilience. Players who are strong and skilled enough to fight through three districts of Gildenarch in a row will face a world boss. These epic, monstrous foes will test players’ mastery of their divine abilities, and players can only face the hellish final boss once they’ve defeated all three world bosses.”

Crimson Moon ’s soundtrack has been composed by Chris Wilson and ProbablyMonsters’ music manager Steve Pardo. They’ve also teamed up with HEALTH , Ice Nine Kills ’ Ricky Armellino, Periphery ’s Misha Mansoor and metal YouTuber Jared Dines to create four original tracks that will soundtrack the boss fights.

“When I got invited to collaborate with the incredible team at ProbablyMonsters to help bring Crimson Moon to life, I was so honored,” Armellino said in a statement.  “The game is an epic action RPG that brings gothic and classical elements together with heavy metal, and making these tracks was a blast. I can’t wait for players to hear them in the game next month.”
