Japan Post Q1 Earnings Rise; Guides FY27 Outlook

(RTTNews) - Japan Post Holdings Co., Ltd. (JPHLF, 6178.T), an insurance and postal delivery service provider, on Friday reported higher net income in the first quarter of 2026 compared with the previous year.

For the first quarter, net income attributable to the company increased to 125.30 billion yen from 76.51 billion yen in the previous year.

Earnings per share were 45.07 yen versus 25.75 yen last year.

Net ordinary income jumped to 339.86 billion yen from 225.16 billion yen in the previous year.

Ordinary income increased to 2.99 trillion yen from 2.81 trillion yen in the previous year.

Looking ahead, the company expects fiscal 2027 ordinary income of 11.360 trillion yen, a 0.7% decline from the previous fiscal year.

Net ordinary income is projected to reach 1.17 trillion yen, up 8.8% year over year.

Net income attributable to the company is forecast at 380 billion yen, an increase of 1.5% from the previous fiscal year, with earnings per share of 138.39 yen.
