Prices ofd New York Knicks tickets have made headlines in the past weeks. They are pricey for a reason but to Knicks guard Josh Hart , some fans are disadvantaged by it.

The NBA Finals series between the Knicks and the San Antonio Spurs moves to the Madison Square Garden for Game with the former owning a 2-0 lead . The Knicks crowd can be loud and players are expecting the same energy from them.

The Knicks fan base will get to experience the NBA Finals for the first time in 27 years. Unfortunately to some of them, they won’t be able to get inside the MSG, no thanks to the steep prices of tickets. Hart find this ridiculous and he feels bad for long-time Knicks fans .

“I kind of wish the ticket prices weren’t as crazy as they are,” Hart told reporters after Sunday practice.

“I feel like a lot of people who have been waiting for this moment for a very long time unfortunately aren’t able to get into the building,” he added. “The cheapest ticket $7,000, $8,000. That’s ridiculous.”

The current get-in price at MSG is $9,257 , up from the $7,142 last Thursday. Reports said the increase is due to the anticipated attendance of US president Donald Trump.

Hart’s teammate Jose Alvarado is one of those long-time Knicks fans. The Puerto Rican guard grew up in Brooklyn and one of his dreams was to be able to watch the team in a bigger stage.

He has relatives and friends who would love to watch the game live. Unfortunately for them, they can’t afford the tickets. Alvarado welcomes those who are willing to pay expensive price to get in but for the people he knows, he’d rather have them attend a watch party.
