Press secretary Karoline Leavitt will work for President Donald Trumpโs super PAC MAGA Inc. after she leaves her post at the White House , she said Friday.
Leavitt, 28, told reporters aboard Air Force One that she will return to work for the super PAC, for which she served as a spokesperson before joining Trumpโs 2024 campaign, though she did not specify what her new title will be.
MAGA Inc. did not immediately respond to a request for comment on Leavittโs new role.
Speaking briefly in the press cabin before takeoff, Leavitt told reporters that she will miss the job โbut I love my kids even more.โ Leavitt added that she and her family will remain in Washington for a while, telling reporters, โYou guys will still see me all the time.โ
She told reporters that Fridayโs flight to South Carolina for a rally supporting Sen. Darline Graham will be her last trip as press secretary, but that sheโll be back on board for the Republican National Committeeโs midterm convention scheduled for Sept. 9 and 10.
Leavitt, who became the youngest press secretary in history when she joined the second Trump administration, announced her departure from the White House on Aug. 12.
Trump wrote in a Truth Social post that day that Leavitt was stepping down to โspend more time with her beautiful young children and family.โ
The president added that Leavitt โwill now be one of my top outside advisors, and an influential voice within the Republican Party, as we work to defy History, and conclusively win the Midterm Elections.โ
