In an interview with WalesOnline, she reflected on how this difficult period taught her empathy and resilience. Reform MSs James Evans and Iain McIntosh, who represent the Brycheiniog Tawe Nedd area, quickly distanced themselves from the comment. Evans labeled it "totally unacceptable" and stated that neither he nor the branch chairman were aware of the post until it garnered negative attention. He also highlighted that they are investigating the page’s administration to prevent future incidents. The comment was ultimately deleted, but not before drawing sharp rebukes from fellow politicians, including Plaid Cymru MS Beca Brown, who called it "vile."
