Meta just launched a new iPhone app called Facebook Creator Studio, giving influencers and page admins a dedicated tool to manage posts, messages, and analytics on the go.

This isnโ€™t Metaโ€™s first move to streamline content creation across platforms. Over the past year, the company has pushed creators toward its professional tools, like Meta Business Suite, to compete with rivals such as TikTok and YouTube. The push reflects a broader shift: Meta wants to keep creators hooked on its apps, not just as casual users, but as professional publishers who rely on its analytics, monetization, and audience-building features. Earlier this summer, Meta released a similar tool for Instagram, signaling that mobile-first creator workflows are a priority.

The Creator Studio app lets users schedule posts, respond to comments, and track performance metricsโ€”all without switching between the main Facebook app. It also integrates with Metaโ€™s monetization options, including in-stream ads and fan subscriptions. While the app is free, itโ€™s designed for those already running pages or profiles with at least a few thousand followers. Early reviews suggest itโ€™s a cleaner, faster alternative to the clunky mobile experience of the regular Facebook app. For now, itโ€™s iOS-only, but an Android version is likely coming.

Metaโ€™s timing makes sense. With short-form video dominating social media, creators need quick, efficient tools to post and engage. The Creator Studio app could help Meta retain influencers who might otherwise drift to platforms with better mobile workflows. If it gains traction, expect Meta to add more featuresโ€”like direct monetization tools or AI-powered editingโ€”within months. For now, itโ€™s another step in Metaโ€™s quiet battle to lock creators into its ecosystem.
