New Pixel 11 leak has good news for camera zoom, bad news for HiLight

Google will launch the Pixel 11 series tomorrow, and the standard Pixel 11 is expected to be the cheapest model. We’ve already seen some major leaks in recent weeks, but a leaker has now revealed a few more details about the vanilla model.

Tipster @evowizz reports that the standard Pixel 11 won’t have the Pixel Glow or HiLight feature. That’s a shame if you wanted this glorified notification LED without paying a ton of cash.

They add that the base phone will only be available with 12GB of RAM and that it has a 10.8MP telephoto camera. We’re not surprised to hear that the Pixel 11 won’t have a variant with 16GB of RAM, as the RAM crisis has put an immense amount of pressure on smartphone costs. Furthermore, the standard Pixel 9 and Pixel 10 were only available with 12GB of RAM anyway. It’s not like Google is taking away a 16GB option compared to previous years.

There’s no word on the telephoto camera’s focal length, but the Pixel 10 debuted a 5x camera last year. So it’s a safe bet that we’re looking at a 5x camera once again. This would also contradict a previous leak, which surprisingly suggested a dual-camera setup with no tele shooter.

These leaked specs join a host of earlier Pixel 11 leaks . Previous disclosures point to a Tensor G6 chip, a 6.3-inch display, a thinner camera bump, and a 4,985mAh battery with 30W charging speeds. All will be known tomorrow (August 12), so you don’t have to wait long if you’re interested in these phones.
