One UI 9’s new Warranty hub means no more hunting for repair receipts

Samsung is finally giving us a closer look at the Warranty and care feature we first spotted hiding in an early One UI 9 build back in March. In a blog post , the company has detailed how the support hub works, revealing a more comprehensive system for checking warranties, diagnosing problems, comparing repair costs, and getting help without leaving the Settings app.

We already knew the basic idea. Our earlier teardown found a work-in-progress Warranty and care tool that appeared to bring warranty information, diagnostics, repairs, and customer support together. At the time, though, several features were unfinished. Samsung’s latest explanation fills in some of those blanks and confirms that the feature is intended to become a central destination for Galaxy device care.

The most straightforward part is warranty management. Warranty and care shows the remaining warranty period for the device you’re using and whether you’re eligible for Samsung Care Plus. It can also display warranty and coverage information for other Galaxy devices connected to the same Samsung account. That makes considerably more sense than forcing users to remember which device is covered until when.

Samsung is also tying troubleshooting directly into the hub. Its Diagnostics tool can check components and functions, including the battery, charging, sensors, touch response, and connectivity, then guide users toward a suggested solution or a repair request. Bixby is available from the same interface for questions about problems, potentially giving users another way to troubleshoot without jumping between Samsung apps.

The bigger upgrade is what happens when troubleshooting doesn’t solve the problem. Users can request a repair at a Samsung-authorized service center directly from Warranty and care settings, while remote support can be started from the same screen if visiting a center isn’t practical. Samsung also says users can see estimated repair costs for major components and compare those prices with the cost of the same repair under Samsung Care Plus.

That last part is particularly useful because it turns the feature from a passive warranty tracker into a more complete after-sales support hub. According to Samsung, the goal is to make these services easier to access and help users keep their devices in good condition for longer.

For now, Samsung’s Warranty and care hub is available on the Galaxy Z Fold 8 duo and Galaxy Z Flip 8. But we expect the feature to become widely available when One UI 9 begins rolling out to the Galaxy S26 and other flagships.
