Thereโs no doubting that video creators (or even users who take a lot of videos) gravitate toward the iPhone . That stays true, even if certain top-tier options in the Android camp might offer better video recording capabilities , and thatโs something Google may now be attempting to change. However, instead of taking on the iPhone simply with better video quality, Google is pitching extra features that may come in handy for those who shoot videos with the Pixel 11.
With the Pixel 11, Google is adding a new set of tools that allow video creators to channel their creativity with more ease. These features are grouped under what Google calls โCreator Suite,โ and they make video creation easier, especially when using the front camera.
Among the features in Pixel 11โs Creator Suite is a new teleprompter that sits inside your camera as an overlay while recording a video. This teleprompter eliminates the need for specialized hardware, while keeping your eyes centered at the selfie camera. The text here auto-scrolls as it hears you speak and automatically adjusts to your cadence, while also observing any pauses. These features will complement the green screen feature introduced with Android 17 .
Notably, Google wouldnโt be the first brand to bring a teleprompter to the Camera app; both Xiaomi and vivo offer built-in features for several generations. However, even in their latest version, they lack the adaptive speed controls that Google now offers.
Google says the Pixel 11 can also automatically organize these videos for you in dedicated folders, separated by project. These clips can also be edited individually and combined together on a timeline using a new Storyboard feature, which is powered by Google Photos.
All of these features will be accessible through the newly added Creators tab inside the Pixel 11โs Camera app. Like the other Camera-specific features that the Pixel 11 brings, such as Magic Capture and Camera Looks , the new Creator Suite is limited to the new phones for now. Google says it will evaluate whether itโs possible to bring the features to older devices but doesnโt guarantee anything yet.
