The Philadelphia Eagles entered the 2026 offseason with a difficult challenge. After another NFC East title and a playoff appearance, the organization faced coaching turnover, free-agent losses, and questions about how to keep a championship-caliber roster among the NFL's elite. General manager Howie Roseman responded aggressively, reshaping parts of the roster while attempting to maintain Philadelphia's place among the NFC contenders.

Here is a ranking of the Eagles' most important offseason moves from best to worst.

No move carries more importance than this one. The Eagles are entering their fifth consecutive season with a new offensive coordinator, but Philadelphia believes Mannion can provide the creativity and adaptability the offense lacked at times in 2025. After rising quickly through Green Bay's coaching staff, Mannion arrives with a reputation as a detailed teacher and innovative offensive mind. His success will largely determine whether Jalen Hurts and the offense return to championship form.

Philadelphia identified cornerback as a priority and landed one of the offseason's most intriguing additions. Woolen arrives on a one-year deal after reestablishing himself as one of the league's more productive cover corners. His size, speed, and ball skills give Vic Fangio another versatile defensive weapon alongside Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean . If Woolen performs at a Pro Bowl level, this could become one of Roseman's best value signings.

The Eagles needed additional explosiveness at wide receiver, especially with uncertainty continuing to surround A.J. Brown 's future. Lemon enters the league with first-round expectations and a realistic path to early snaps. His ability to create separation and generate yards after the catch fits perfectly with Mannion's vision for a more flexible offense.

Philadelphia rewarded one of its foundational defensive players. Davis has developed into a dominant interior presence, and locking him up long-term ensures stability along the defensive front. Keeping homegrown talent remains one of the organization's defining philosophies.

The move lacked national attention but remains important. Goedert remains one of Hurts' most trusted targets and provides Mannion with an experienced security blanket as the offense transitions to a new system.

This is the one move that creates the most concern. Stoutland's departure ended one of the most successful coaching runs in franchise history. His influence on Jordan Mailata , Landon Dickerson , and the Eagles' offensive line culture cannot be overstated. Replacing that impact will not be easy for Chris Kuper.
