Vaibhav Sooryavanshi score today: How many runs did teenager score in India A vs Sri Lanka A in tri-series match

Indian teen sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi was back in action against Sri Lanka A on Monday at the Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium in Dambulla, Sri Lanka.

In the first match of the tri-series, Sooryavanshi started brightly and smashed three boundaries. He was dismissed for just 14 runs in 12 balls after trying to loft it over mid-off.

The bat turned in his hand and could not generate the elevation and power to clear the fence. Sahan Arachchige, the Sri Lanka A skipper, dived full length and completed the catch to dismiss the teenager.

Meanwhile, in his second outing against Afghanistan, Sooryavanshi hit top gear, and scored  44 off just 22 balls. The 15-year-old slammed eight fours during his stay at the wicket.

However, he could not convert the start into a big innings and was out caught by Ishaq Rahimi off Abdullah Ahmadzai.

Sooryavanshi was dismissed for a paltry 21 runs off 14 balls. It was another blistering start from the youngster, but Arachchige soon doused the fire.

He tossed it up, and Sooryavanshi hit through the line. He mistimed the shot, the turn got the better of him, and he was caught at point.

The India A vs Sri Lanka A and Afghanistan A Tri-Nation series 2026 follows a double round-robin format, where each team plays the other two sides twice.
