WHOOP unlocks its advanced lab testing for everyone to use

In 2025, WHOOP launched Advanced Labs, which combines clinical lab testing with recorded WHOOP data for deeper insights into your health. This offering initially served as a way to provide more value to a WHOOP membership. However, the company has now decided to expand the service to more users.

Today, WHOOP announced in a press release that it is dropping the membership requirement for Advanced Labs. As a result, the service’s clinical testing will be available to anyone who is willing to pay up. If you’re interested in giving it a try, testing through Advanced Labs will start at around $150. WHOOP claims comparable assessments cost more than $3,000 through traditional health care settings.

“WHOOP Advanced Labs gives people access to comprehensive, clinically reviewed testing that often isn’t part of a routine physical and historically has been available through concierge medicine, executive physicals, or specialty clinics,” said Dr. Ami Bhatt, chief medical officer at WHOOP. “By making that level of testing more accessible, we’re helping more people better understand their health and make earlier, more informed decisions.”

This move would make it possible for WHOOP to loop more people into its ecosystem. For example, Garmin, Oura, Pixel Watch, Apple Watch, and other wearable users can now jump on this opportunity without having to be a WHOOP member.

Along with this expansion, the company is also adding to the Advanced Labs portfolio. The service is gaining GRAIL’s multi-cancer early detection test, known as Galleri. The test is able to detect cancer signals associated with more than 50 types of cancer. WHOOP says that Galleri test results will appear within the WHOOP app alongside other health insights.
