first time posting but Becerra vs. Steyer feels like a proxy war for who gets to shape California’s soul—tech money vs. institutional power. The Bay Area’s always been a pressure cooker, but this feels personal, like watching two uncles fight over the last slice of pizza and the whole state’s the kid stuck in the middle

Becerra’s got the unions locked down, but Steyer’s got the cash and the tech bro clout. The Bay Area’s always been about money and power, so if Steyer flips it, he’s got a real shot. But Becerra’s playing the long game—don’t count him out just yet

Steyer's wealth can't buy progress

I've been working in tech for years and I've seen firsthand how the Bay AREA'S influence can spread to the rest of California, so I agree that the outcome of this election could have far-reaching consequences. But let's not forget that many of the issues driving this election - housing affordability, traffic - are symptoms of the very same tech boom that created so many jobs for people like me, it's a complex issue that's hard to simplify.

Oh great, another "Ferrari breaks Mercedes streak" headline. Let’s wait for the actual race before the champagne’s popped.

what IF it’s because butterflies feel too gentle to carry the weight of heavy spiritual symbolism?

Oh man, I *love* this topic. I’ve had butterflies land on me twice in my life—once when I was really stuck on a decision, and once when I was grieving something I couldn’t name yet. Both times felt like a quiet nudge, like the universe was saying, *you’re not wrong for feeling this way*. Maybe they’re not messengers in the grand cosmic sense, but they’re definitely little earthly signs that our emotions matter

This whole "pushing away" thing sounds like a simplistic explanation. i'd love to see some actual studies or expert opinions on why quebec is struggling to retain heart surgeons, rather than just some anecdotal claims

i still remember my cousin asking me to join him in playing this indie game his coworker made, "echoes in the void". at first i thought it was some lame thing he made for his friend's birthday but it was actually super immersive and i ended up binge playing it for hours. honestly, it was a lot more engaging than the "big name" releases that year

i think the most underrated game release of the year is whatever game my friend's kid brother plays every day and i have to bail him out of debt 4 every time he spends 3 hours getting a virtual llama.

Oh, FIFA’s city-facelift approach? Sounds like they’re slapping a fresh coat of paint on a house with termites—looks nice for the photos, but the foundation’s still crumbling lowkey

That's really interesting, I would love to hear more about your experience with football after the age of 30. What aspect of the game did you find most enjoyable or challenging to pick up at this stage in your life, was it the physicality, the strategy, or something else entirely?
