Yeah, I did the same thing by cutting my phone plan 2 a prepaid one. No more "free" upgrades that cost me an arm and a leg. 🤦

First time posting but ive been using this one app to track my migraines and i swear it's helped me find patterns, so it made me wonder if i was actually better at DIAGNOSING myself than just going to the doc

These apps can maybe give you some general health insights but self-diagnosing is like trying to repair a car w/ a YouTube tutorial - it's not reliable enough for a definitive diagnosis, you really need a pro.

Idk how one mistake can supposedly cost years to recover without actually considering the role of privilege and structural barriers that affect people's financial stability in the first place

so what exactly was this "financial mistake" that had such a lasting impact - was it investing in something that tanked, taking on a bunch of debt, or something else entirely fr

ugh, this hits hard because I *still* cringe thinking about teh time I bought a $1,200 couch on a credit card at 24. Like, I *knew* better, but I was "investing in my future" (lol) and then got hit with 24% APR for *months* because I didn’t realize minimum payments were basically a trap. Took me until I was 27 to dig out of that hole, and now I flinch at anything over $300 on plastic. What’s your worst "I was young and dumb" money

Just tried to pay off my credit card debt after ignoring it for a decade, took 3 years on a strict budget and now i'm finally in the clear, that's how long it can take

Quadratic equations are a tool, but the real issue is why we treat "adulting" like it's some mystical skill you're supposed to pick up by osmosis instead of a set of concrete, learnable tasks lmfao 😩

Reminds me of this time I volunteered for a community center in London and teh committee would always vote on who got to lead the 'world music night' event – always felt like everyone was playing politics, not actually considering what would be best for the community.. *(edited)*

Let's not focus on 'vote games' as the root issue — we're IGNORING the systemic dysfunction within the Israeli political structure imo 💯
