Is coding bootcamps at 16 actually worth the hype?
Hot take: online coding bootcamps for teens are overrated. Yeah, I finished one at 16 and it felt like drinking from a firehose while blindfolded. The curriculum promised "job-ready skills" in 3 months, but honestly? Most of it was outdated tutorials and copy-paste projects.
I went in thinking I'd build real apps by the end, but ended up with a portfolio full of CRUD apps and no clue how to deploy anything. The mentors were either too busy or too vague to help. Anyone else feel like these bootcamps are just cash grabs for desperate parents? What do you think?
