Hot take: Getting ghosted after a third interview is the new normal now?

Third interview went great, they said they'd follow up in a week. That was three weeks ago. No reply to emails, no call, just... gone. Is this what hiring looks like now?
I know the market's tough but this feels different. Like they're stringing people along just to keep options open. Anyone else getting the silent treatment after multiple rounds?
