Why do all the "free" math YouTube channels feel like a bait-and-switch?

They promise "math from scratch" but then hit you with either a 10-hour lecture on set theory or a guy whispering over a whiteboard for 20 minutes. Where’s the balance? I just want to understand fractions without feeling like I’m being punished for asking.

I’ve burned through three channels already—one dude spent an hour on the history of numbers, another’s audio cuts out every 3 minutes. It’s exhausting. Anyone else feel like the free options are either too shallow or way too deep? What’s your go-to channel that doesn’t make you want to throw your laptop?
