Home Depot has launched a Labor Day sale that offers buyโ€‘oneโ€‘getโ€‘one free on selected grills and power tools. The promotion runs from September 1 to September 4, 2026, and targets highโ€‘end models from brands such as Weber, Charโ€‘Broil, and DeWalt. Shoppers can pick up a premium grill and receive a second one at no extra cost, or buy a topโ€‘rated cordless drill and get a matching set of accessories for free. The offer is available both in stores and online, with free shipping for orders over $150.

The deal comes as the retailer seeks to close out its fiscal year on a high note. Home Depotโ€™s Q3 earnings report showed a 7% rise in sales compared to the same period last year, driven largely by outdoorโ€‘living products. Inflation and supplyโ€‘chain delays have kept prices high, so a BOGO promotion is a way to entice customers to spend before the holiday season. Competitors such as Loweโ€™s and Amazon are also running limitedโ€‘time deals, but Home Depotโ€™s deep discounts on premium brands give it a competitive edge. Last yearโ€™s Labor Day sale saw a 12% increase in foot traffic, and the company expects a similar boost this year.

Customers can redeem the offer by adding the desired item to their cart and selecting the โ€œBuy One Get One Freeโ€ option at checkout. Inโ€‘store shoppers must show the promotional flyer to receive the second item. The promotion is limited to 500 units per model, so early shoppers are advised to act fast. Home Depotโ€™s chief marketing officer said the sale would โ€œdrive traffic into stores and online, helping us meet our yearโ€‘end targets.โ€ The promotion ends on September 4, after which the retailer will shift focus to Black Friday and holidayโ€‘season sales. The BOGO deal is a key part of Home Depotโ€™s strategy to keep consumers engaged and to boost revenue during a traditionally slow period.
