Shares of UnitedHealth Group have slipped 14.9% from itsย 52-week high of $461.62. The stockย has risen 2.7% over the past three months, lagging behind the State Street SPDR S&P Health Care Services ETF's (XHS) 16.6% gain over the same time frame.
Longer term, UNH stock is up 19% on a YTD basis, underperforming XHS' 26.2% increase. Moreover, shares of the largest U.S. health insurer have soared nearly 30% over the past 52 weeks, compared toย XHS' 37% return over the same time frame.
Despite recent fluctuations, the stock has fallen below its 50-day moving average since mid-July. However, it has been trading above its 200-day moving average since last year.
