The Pixel Thermometer app icon is finally getting a gradient makeover

The Pixel Thermometer app might be niche for most users, but it can be pretty useful for quick temperature checks . While Google has removed the temperature sensor from the Pixel 11 series in favor of the new HiLight LED , older Pixel devices still support the thermometer app, and Google is now giving it a slight makeover.

Version 1.0.947990598 of the Pixel Thermometer app is now available, and it doesn’t really change much. However, it does come with a new app icon using the gradient design we’ve seen on plenty of other Google apps.

The blue background and white thermometer have been swapped for a white background and a blue gradient for both the thermometer body and the mercury inside it. Meanwhile, the themed icon remains unchanged.

The update also expands Google Health branding to the Thermometer app. On the screen where users can connect the app to Google Health to track body temperature over time, the “Apps” section now shows “Google Health” instead of “Fitbit.”

The new app icon is rolling out with the latest update to the Pixel Thermometer app. You can get it on your Pixel from the Play Store , and the new icon should start showing up on your phone right away.
