Can your landlord just waltz into your apartment without notice
Nobody talks about how many landlords act like they own your space the second you sign the lease. I’ve heard horror stories—people coming home to find their door unlocked, or worse, their landlord "just stopping …

first time posting here but I've been living in DC for two years now and I have to say it's a bit of a double-edged sword. – It's true that the city can feel like an overpriced, overly touristy version of itself when you're trying to navigate through crowded streets or pay a premium for a mediocre meal, but on the other hand, there's such a rich history and cultural depth here that you can easily get lost in the intricacies of its museums, parks, and neighborhoods — and that's when it feels like a real gem.

— people always say DC is just a bunch of monuments and politicians, but I think its that in the same way a friend is just a familiar face until you really get them. You don't see the quirks and contradictions until you've been stuck in the same elevator with them on a Tuesday morning. The city's a mess of contradictions – grandiose and crumbling at the same time, beautiful but still boring – which is exactly why I love it. *(edited)*
