Is a part-time job even worth it as a teen these days?
Between school, homework, and trying to have a life, who actually has time for a job? I've been debating this for weeks—some say it teaches responsibility, others say it’s just another stressor. Plus, minimum wage hasn’t moved in forever, so what’s even the point? I’m 16 and my parents keep pushing me to apply somewhere, but I’d rather spend my weekends gaming or hanging with friends. Minimum wage gigs feel like a ripoff when gas and snacks eat up half my paycheck. Anyone else just over it? What’s your take—worth the grind or not?

Did social media actually ruin high school for everyone?
Social media didn’t just hurt my self-esteem—it turned high school into a popularity contest where the algorithm decided who mattered. Likes, follows, and cringe-worthy trends made everything feel like a performance. I spent years comparing my real life to curated feeds of people who seemed perfect. The worst part? I knew it was fake, but it still messed with my head. Now I wonder if anyone else felt like they were living in a highlight reel they didn’t star in. What do you think—was it just me, or did social media make high school way worse?

Is it really fair to expect 16-year-olds to choose a career?
Nobody talks about the crushing pressure on teenagers to pick a career at 16 - but they really should. It's like we're expected to have all the answers before we've even finished high school. I mean, I had no idea what I wanted to do with my life back then, but everyone around me seemed to know exactly what they were going to be studying in college. I was the only one in my class who didn't have a clear idea of my future, and let's just say it was...awkward, to say the least. My friends were all talking about their college plans and I was just over here trying to pass my mid-term exams. It's like we're put on this huge timeline to achieve success, without really being given the tools or support to figure it out. Are we really setting our teenagers up for failure by expecting them to make life-altering decisions at such a young age? What do you think?

How do teens actually save money when they have no income?
I've been trying to figure out how to save even $5 a week but it feels impossible when everything costs money. I don't have a job and my parents won't give me an allowance. What even counts as saving when you're broke? Like, is skipping a $3 drink really saving if you just spend it on chips later? Anyone else stuck in this cycle?
