Flame Fatales 2026 marathon streams September 13-19 to support Malala Fund

Flame Fatales, a charity speedrunning marathon, kicks off on September 13 and runs through September 19. This event, organized by the Frame Fatales community under the Games Done Quick (GDQ) banner, aims to raise funds for the Malala Fund, which promotes girls' education worldwide. The timing of Flame Fatales comes as summer draws to a close, offering gamers a chance to engage in a lively, week-long event. Each day of the marathon will feature unique gaming challenges, beginning at 1 PM ET and concluding by midnight. Unlike the continuous format of GDQ's main events, this schedule allows for a more structured viewing experience. Fans can tune in via GDQ's Twitch and YouTube channels to catch their favorite runs.

This year’s schedule features over 50 distinct speedruns, blending high-skill gameplay with entertaining meme events. Notable highlights include a 70 Star race of Super Mario 64: Rogue Chaos Edition on Monday at 8 PM ET, where players will face unpredictable effects as they collect items. Another anticipated event is the lockout bingo race in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, set for Wednesday at 7 PM ET. The marathon will conclude with a strong lineup on its final day, featuring games like Hollow Knight: Silksong and Mass Effect 3.

Since its inception in 2019, Frame Fatales has raised over $1 million for its charity partners. The funds generated from this event will continue to support the Malala Fund, which works tirelessly to ensure girls around the globe have access to secondary education.
