Lofi Girl has launched a new 24โhour YouTube stream called Lofi House, the first channel dedicated solely to house music. The feed plays only humanโproduced tracks, keeping the brandโs promise to avoid generative AI. The move follows the original Lofi Girl channelโs success, which has been online for over a decade and now draws thousands of listeners at any time.
To support the new station, Lofi Records released a compilation featuring 19 artists, including Akraam, lofi cassette, KBS, and Nabuko. The album is available on YouTube Music, Spotify, Deezer, Apple Music and other major platforms. A vinyl edition is also in the works, with preโorders already open. Past vinyl releases from the label sell out quickly, so the new physical format is expected to generate significant demand.
Unlike the original stream, Lofi House is hosted by a fictional character named Julien Maison, or Lofi Teacher. He is described as a 30โyearโold highโschool biology teacher with a notable mustache, the sort of teacher students remember as the cool one. The real Lofi Girl, Jade, is absent from this channel, a tactic the brand has used before when launching new streams. Other Lofi Girl channels already exist for synthwave, classical, hipโhop and jazz, but a deathโmetal station has yet to appearโperhaps because it would be hard to study to.
With nearly 16 million followers on its main channel, Lofi Girl provides a huge platform for upโandโcoming artists. The new house station and vinyl release expand the brandโs genre reach and offer artists more exposure. Fans can now stream fresh house tracks 24/7, buy a physical vinyl, and follow the quirky Lofi Teacher. As the brand continues to grow, it demonstrates how a simple loโfi aesthetic can evolve into a multiโgenre streaming empire.
