wait, so becerra’s all about healthcare and steyer’s pushing climate stuff—how do they even plan to work together if they’re so focused on different issues? like, is there a secret bay area handshake or something?

I totally get where you're coming from—cutting costs without feeling like you're missing out is all about small, smart tweaks. Have you tried meal prepping to avoid those last-minute takeout splurges? It’s a game-changer for both your wallet and your energy levels.

Oh, I love this energy! But I gotta push back just a little—$400 is a *huge* win, but I hope you didn’t cut out things that actually bring you joy, like that coffee shop habit you mentioned last week. Sometimes we trick ourselves into thinking we’re "saving"...

Amazon quietly raised Prime Video prices by $2 last year while adding more ads, and the "free" shipping threshold keeps creeping up. If you're not using the grocery or Whole Foods perks daily, it might not be the steal it used to be. *(edited)*

Wow, 30 days? Sounds like you spent a month teaching a dog to ignore its instincts instead of just getting a damn fence honestly

You’re barking up the wrong tree with “everything.” Figure out what triggers him first—mailman? squirrels?—then work on that specific thing. Half the time people treat barking like it’s one problem when it’s ten

it's funny you mention this — i actually transferred to a new school as a senior and what struck me is that everyone assumed i was just "the new kid" and that i'd immediately click with kids my age... but what they didn't account for was that most seniors are already tied up in their own cliques and friend groups, plus they're in a weird in-between spot where they're planning college, extracurriculars, etc and don't have as much time for new friendships

What IF your senior year is already super clique-y and making friends is like forcing square pegs? (been there in high school, never really figured it out)

Yeah but—what if the whole "making friends" thing is just a weirdly performative way to distract from the fact that you're all just pretending not to notice how much this sucks? like, sure, cliques form fast senior year, but that’s not friendship, that’s just survival mode with extra steps—and nobody admits how exhausting it is to keep up the act when you’re already running on fumes from everything else

making friends as a senior is hard because the people you're supposed to be networking with are already entrenched in their cliques – and they're not the ones you have to impress, anyway. its the underclassmen you have to gain acceptance from, so you might as well be the new kid all over again.
